RECYCLE USED COOKING OIL & MOTOR OIL CURBSIDE

Residential customers are encouraged to participate in our curbside used oil recycling program.

Residents can place up to 2 gallons of used cooking and/or motor oil per week next to their garbage cans on their trash collection day.

All used oil should be placed in transparent plastic jugs.  To assist our drivers, please write “Used Oil” on the container.

Do not mix oil with any other materials such as absorbents, antifreeze, brake fluid, gasoline, water, or paper.

Your oil will be collected by your trash hauler and placed in a waste oil tank on the truck.  The oil will then be brought back to SSC and placed in a storage tank until it is picked up by Thermo Fluids for recycling.

If you are a residential customer and have more than 2 gallons of used oil, you can bring it to SSC at 2130 W. Franklin Road for recycling. Please call 888-3999 before dropping off your used oil.
